She paid £30 for two tickets to the event, which has now been debunked as false
A woman who paid for a ticket to a Pierce Brosnan art exhibition in Long Eaton says she hasn't been able to reach the owner of the gallery for a refund. The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, described the situation as "bizarre" and said she felt sorry for anyone else who had purchased a ticket to the "event" in good faith.
She said: "I don't usually jump into things that quickly but I quite like Pierce Brosnan and I love art. My sister-in-law is a very talented amateur artist and we just thought it sounded something different which we could pay not very much for and go and have a look. I've not lost a huge amount but it's the principle of it and I'm still worried that they can get more money from my credit card.
The post received 392 comments, with many saying that they had or had been tempted to purchase a ticket and thanking Mr Brosnan for his clarification. But the gallery owner responded, claiming that she'd spoken to Mr Brosnan and believed the communications had been legitimate.
