An animal charity has launched a probe after three dead puppies were found lying in a field alongside a blood-soaked T-shirt in Rutherglen.
The SSPCA is investigating following a member of the public discover the bodies of three pups beside a shoebox on grasslands in Fernhill on Tuesday.
"I found three of them lying alongside blood-soaked puppy pads, a blood-soaked T-shirt and a ripped-up box." The woman said she quickly called the police and the SSPCA, before burying the animals in a shallow grave, close to where she found them.
