Gaby Mendes is the founder of TwentiesFestand the Talk Twenties podcast

A woman whose “debilitating” anxiety prevented her taking the bins out is set to lead a huge festival with CEOs and TikTok stars in attendance.

“I couldn't do normal things. I couldn't be a passenger in someone's car - I would have a panic attack about just being out of control.” But Gaby had an idea for her own event that she wanted to carry out herself. Inspired by her own experiences, the event would be aimed at people in their twenties who were feeling lost and had been let down by an education system which, in her view, does not provide enough training for life beyond studying.

“Why was I putting this much pressure on myself? What do I actually want to do with my life and how can I help others through what I'm doing? I think that was where things started to get better. Gaby argues TwentiesFest has a unique offering compared to lessons in school and career advice sessions. There will be talks on how to travel the world, mental health issues, turning your passion into a career and relationship advice, complete with live blind dating on stage.
