A passenger has turned to TikTok to claim she was 'kidnapped' by her airline after waking up in Canada
A passenger onboard an American Airlines flight claims she was 'kidnapped' by the carrier after she was left stranded for 12 hours due to a diversion. The flight from Philadelphia, which set off three hours late, reportedly saw passengers wake up and think they were near their destination in London, but were actually in Canada.
Diane Kane, a passenger on the flight who took to TikTok, claimed passengers were left without food and water for several hours in an airport that had limited seating and looked like "a high school auditorium". She even went as far as to questioned to validity of the passenger's medical emergency. Ms Kane says the plane flew all night and when she woke up, it was the morning and she presumed they were close to London. However, when she turned her phone on, she got the message "Welcome to Canada".
