A hairdresser who is alleged to have stabbed her husband to death just three days before Christmas has been arrested and charged with his murder.

According to neighbours who knew Mr Hanson, he was a doting dad and grandad that would always stop for a chat. A local man added: ‘The family have been there for around three or four years, the guy always said “alright” to me when I’d walk my dog.’ A spokesperson said: ‘A man who sustained a fatal stab wound at a property in West Cowick on Wednesday 28 December has been named by his family as Paul Hanson, aged 54.
