The woman, who posted her dilemma to Reddit, said that while her husband and his employee often travel and spend a lot of time together, she’s ‘confident’ that there’s nothing going on between them romantically. However, the employee asked the husband to go as Ken and Barbie for their office Halloween party.
They’re essentially “playing” a couple for Halloween.’ Another said the costume idea was strange: ‘Does your husband have other direct reports, other than this woman? If yes, then this type of behaviour shows pretty clear favouritism,’ they wrote. ‘Also, Ken was like, desperately chasing Barbie. It’s a weird look for a boss to wear the costume of someone desperately romantically chasing his direct report.’ Some even speculated that the husband was, in fact, cheating.
