Wicksteed Park in Kettering has been ranked higher than award-winning Thorpe Park and world-famous Blackpool Pleasure Beach by holiday experts. It comes after research into the best value for money theme parks in the UK.
The study was made by group holiday and holiday property experts Big Domain. Parks were judged by comparing the number of rides, the cost of entry, parking fees, TripAdvisor ratings and 'Instagramability'.Wicksteed Park, which is owned by the Wicksteed Charitable Trust, was founded in 1921 by Charles Wicksteed, the inventor of the modern-day slide and swing. Wicksteed launched the free park to encourage families to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle and get out into the fresh air.
