Dillian Whyte has appointed a new head trainer as he looks to bounce back from the devastating defeat he suffered in his first world title fight.in April with the latter winning by TKO in the sixth round at Wembley Stadium in London.relocated to Portugal for his fight campsThe 34-year-old has now announced that he is moving to California for his next training camp ahead of his comeback fight which will take place later this year.
Whyte will be working with a new-look coaching team that will be headed by American trainer Buddy McGirt.McGirt is a former title holder who had 80 professional fights before training the likes of Arturo Gatti, Antonio Tarver, Hasim Rahman, Paulie Malignaggi, and Sergey Kovalev. “Buddy has been a two-time world champion, he fought a lot of good guys and has been in the corner of a lot of top guys as well,” Whyte told“He’s been around, had years and rounds of world title experience and I think that’s why I need at this stage in my career, somebody who can make little tweaks and has a bit more experience in big fights.
“He’s training for it, he’s ready for it, he’s willing to take Fury on so if that fight doesn’t get made I’ll step up and take the fight with Joshua.”earlier this week, boxing promoters Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn still appear to be working hard behind the scenes to make the biggest fight in British history.
