Jeff Saturday believes he’s the right coach for the Colts despite his 1-7 record. 'I have a very clear vision of how I can turn this football team around.'
“I think when Jeff came in, Jeff did a phenomenal job of true accountability, holding guys accountable,” Leonard said. “I love the way that he leads. I love the way that he brought this team together. And people gotta understand, man, he was brought in I think Week , if I’m not mistaken. He did not know these coaches from a can of paint, so he’s still learning, stuff like that.
Saturday was intent on driving this point home: Give him a full offseason, a full training camp, his own coaching staff, and it’d be different. He pointed to practice habits, scheduling, equipment — all the details, he believes, that are essential to a winning culture. That starts as far back as organized team activities in the spring, minicamps in early summer, then training camp in July and August, all portions of the season he wasn’t here for.
