The procedure will see the 53 teams drawn into 10 groups — seven groups of five teams and three groups of six.
Computer calculations will prevent prohibited team clashes, including Belarus and Ukraine, or excessive travel, meaning Kazakhstan could only be paired with one of England, Scotland, Wales or France among others.The 53 participating teams at Euro 2024 will be seeded according to UEFA’s overall 2022-23 Nations League rankings and placed into seven pots.
The four Nations League finalists — Netherlands, Croatia, Spain and Italy — will be placed into one ‘Nations League pot’ and drawn into Groups A–D.
