A fire crew from Whitchurch were dispatched on Saturday morning to help free a man trapped in the water.
Upon arrival, the crew helped free the man from the brook.
A spokesperson said:"Fire crews assisted a male trapped in a brook, no equipment used and crews assisted back to safety." It is not yet clear if the man was injured in the incident and the ambulance service has been approached for comment.
