Hollywood duo Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds are back for a second series
Welcome to Wrexham is back for series two featuring the town's Hollywood football club owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds. The first series followed the North Wales club after the duo bought it in 2020 and hoped of transforming it into an English Football League force.
Deadpool actor Reynolds has previously said that Wrexham football club is "the most special gift I've ever had in my life". In a recently released clip of the new series McElhenney, famous for his role in It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, talks about the sustainability of the club, saying: "If we do not get promoted this year, the club is completely and wholly unsustainable.
Welcome to Wrexham release date and how to watch The second series of Welcome to Wrexham will be released on September 13 on Disney+ in the UK from 8am. Reynolds and McElhenney are executive producers for the series which has received critical acclaim, winning two Critics' Choice Television Awards and being nominated for six Primetime Emmy Awards.
