Sheffield Wednesday captain Barry Bannan has joked he played matchmaker in convincing John Buckley to leave Blackburn Rovers on loan.
The move on loan has split supporters, with Buckley a popular, homegrown academy product. However, he had been omitted from the last two Championship squads.
