We tried the 90p Lancashire wartime sweet Coltsfoot Rock and won't ever be having it again
Scanning the aisles of my local Morrison's, I stumbled across a packet of sweets that I had never seen before in my life.
These humble beginnings began in his shed in the High Street and from there, the Stockley name was born. It adds: "Stockley's, is in fact, a living tribute to a golden age of sweet making and is guaranteed to re-kindle fond memories. Although not obvious at first, the overwhelming smell is liquorice and if there's anything I don't enjoy in this world it's liquorice . As I reflect on the taste and ponder about which unsuspecting and unfortunate member of my family I can give the bag of Rock to, I decide to finally research the product and see what it's all about. Taking to the Stockley's website, I find out that the recipe is created from Coltsfoot extract - a natural ingredient from a plant that has hoof-shaped leaves.
