'We have finally got some justice': Family of boy, 8, mowed down while playing speak after killers jailed
The family of an eight-year-old boy who was callously mowed down while playing in the street by two speeding drivers have spoken of their heartache following his killer's sentencing.
His heartbroken family say they are 'grieving' but thanked the community for their support, saying they are 'pleased to have finally got some justice'. “Myself, my wife and our whole family are very grateful to the police and the Prosecution Service, who have worked hard to get this case to court, and for all the support we have received from our Family Liaison Officer," Saffiullah's father said after the sentencing.
