We found a swap shop in Afflecks where you can trade old clothes in for new ones
Afflecks is home to many unique and wonderful stores from tattoo studios to eclectic cafés, however one shop that many Mancs have been buzzing about sees them trade their old clothes for brand new ones. Beg, Steal, Borrow is a funky swap shop found on the second floor of the iconic indoor market.
“We would use that method to get new clothes and I always found that really helpful, it’s sustainable, it’s something that I’ve always been passionate about,” Erin said. If you're looking to get involved, it's worth noting the store asks you to get in touch with them through their social media before bringing in items to trade, to save you carrying around clothes they may not accept.
“It kind of happened in a wild way, I was just looking at spaces and I saw the space we had before this one and thought it was such a great opportunity, I didn’t want to pass it up, so I just went for it and haven’t looked back since,” she said.
