Affinity Water issued an alert for customers in the WD17 postcode, which covers parts of the town centre and residential areas near Hempstead Road, at 10.30am today .
People affected by low pressure in the area are asked to avoid using their washing machine, dishwasher, and any electrical appliances that use water until the issue is fixed.“We’ve been made aware of a fault at your local pumping station.” It recommended that customers in the area who still have water should put some in their kettle or fridge for drinking in case their supply needs to be switched off for the repair work.
