WATCH: Thugs threaten terrified staff with golf club as they raid Morrisons petrol station
CCTV footage has revealed the moment a pair of thugs threatened terrified staff with a golf club as they raided a Morrisons store.
Jordan Farran, 33 and Glen O'Donnell, 38, stormed into the petrol station with their faces covered and armed with a golf club before 'intimidating' staff into handing over the money and cigarettes and quickly fleeing the scene.The pair were caught out after CCTV footage also captured their getaway, where police then discovered the car being used was registered to Farran. He was arrested just two days later, on September 18, and had his mobile phones seized.
This evidence contradicted Farran's initial claims in interview that he was at home all evening and, when questioned about the phone data, he stated he could not account for the movement of his phone. At Minshull Street Crown Court on Thursday , the pair were each sentenced to four years behind bars after pleading guilty to the charge of robbery.
