A violent transgender prisoner – one of Scotland’s most dangerous inmates – had to be flanked in the dock of a courtroom by seven guards.
In April 2017, the Sunday Mail revealed how charges of attacking a prison officer and a nurse were dropped by prosecutors as Scott was considered to be too dangerous to attend Alloa Sheriff Court and an extreme threat to the public. Top news stories today Scott told Steven Melloy: “I’m going to bite your f***ing fingers off.” He was then restrained by Mr Melloy and another guard, Gary Kane, who was punched on the side of the head. The thug, born Andrew Burns, was convicted of carrying out the attack and two others.
The accused’s previous convictions include stalking a 13-year-old girl by sending letters from jail while living as a man in 2011.
