Michael Hillier and Rachel Fulstow were both found guilty of his murder

In footage, shared by Greater Manchester Police, the chilling sound of a gunshot can be heard playing over the darkness of Mr Smith’s home. “This is a proper whodunnit from the start where I had a victim that we knew nothing about. The thread that you pull, after that was a house of cards that led to one person to another to another to CCTV to Michael Hillier to Rachel Fulstow.” After six hours and 44 minutes, jurors handed down unanimous guilty verdicts. The family of Liam Smith, who attended every single day of the trial, sobbed uncontrollably and shouted ‘yes’ and ‘thank you so much’.
