Video shows Ratchet & Clank’s newly released PC port struggling to run off an actual PS4 HDD on a machine just above minimum specifications
Digital Foundry’s John Linneman posted a video to Twitter of the game running on those base settings, and the results are clear.
The game runs on the lowest possible setting, but at the first attempt to go through one of the game’s portals, it hangs in mid-air for several seconds, almost completely freezes, before eventually forcing itself into the next area. “As we said,” James Stevenson, Insomniac’s director of community and marketing, commented in response to the video and Digital Foundry’s technical analysis of the PC version running off a PS4 hard drive.
