New data has found that one in five vapers would go back to smoking if the Government banned disposable vapes. Following a recent report by the British Medical Association Board of Science, which has made a number of recommendations regarding the flavours, packaging and sale of vapes, the government is currently undertaking an eight-week consultation process to decide whether all disposable vapes and flavours should be banned.
The vast majority of those surveyed agreed that more needed to be done to enforce age verification for buying vape products, in the same way it is for cigarettes. A further 89% believed that the Government should ban the sale of ‘nicotine-free’ vapes to those under 18. Less than a quarter of those surveyed believed that the branding on vaping products was too appealing to children.
