Vanessa went on: ‘I don’t know if I’m on my A game. I think I look ok. I hope some other people might think so.‘I’ve had a chequered career in terms of my weight but that’s under control. ‘Instead of being grateful that a man flickers his eyes in my direction, I’d like to reach a level of confidence where I think, “I’m glad you’ve chosen me but you’re not right.”‘, saying: ‘I think I’ve lost about two stone, I’m not sure. I haven’t weighed myself, but [I’ve lost] quite a lot.’
She added to Closer Magazine: ‘I tried on some dresses the other day in a size 12, and they were much too big. Although it could have been just those dresses, so I’m not saying I’m a size 10 – I’m not saying anything about my size – but I have lost weight.’
