Urgent warning to Blackpool beachgoers about inflatables after 'extremely busy' weekend for RNLI
An urgent warning has been issued to Blackpool beachgoers after another glorious weekend resulted in an 'extremely busy' time for the RNLI.
In a statement on Facebook, RNLI Blackpool said: "Busy weekend for the RNLI volunteer crews at Blackpool Lifeboat Station. The soaring temperatures this weekend brought holidaymakers to the coastal resort of Blackpool. "9th June 6:40pm - Reports of a person in the sea near Central Pier. D-864 launched and assisted the casualty back to shore.
"10th June 3:51pm - Reports of two young adults in difficulty just North of North Pier. Both the Inshore Lifeboat and the Atlantic 85 were tasked and headed to the scene. Again medical assistance given.
