A man, in his 20s, died after being stabbed at Sefton View flats
On Tuesday, September 5, a man in his 20s was stabbed to death at a property in Sefton View, Litherland. Paramedics carried out treatment as the scene, on Moss Lane, but the victim was pronounced dead.
Two people, a 25-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of murder a short time later. Police have confirmed this morning, on Thursday, September 7, that they remain custody where they are being questioned by detectives.The victim's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. Detective Chief Inspector Ben Dyer said: "Our thoughts are very much with the friends and family of the man who sadly died.
"Our investigation is currently underway and we are carrying out a number of lines of enquiry to establish what has taken place. I would appeal for anyone who was in the area of Sefton View at around 11.30pm last night who saw or heard anything to contact us. "We are also asking any motorists who were in the area to check their dashcam footage to see if they captured anything significant.
