Two new studies have revealed links between UPFs and cardiovascular disease

A long ingredients list with many additives and preservatives, as well as high salt, sugar and fat content, may be indicative that something is ‘ultra-processed’. These products may also typically lack the important nutrients contained by less processed foods.
