09:32:04A deal to free up vital grain exports from Ukraine's southern Black Sea ports - which had been due to expire on 19 November 19 - has been extended for 120 days. The agreement created a safe shipping channel for exports from three ports in Ukraine.
The corridor has led to a partial recovery in shipments from Ukraine but they remain well below pre-invasion levels and will not fully recover anytime soon. We reported earlier that Ukraine's infrastructure minister, Oleksandr Kubrakov, announced the deal had been extended by 120 days. Earlier this year, Novaya Gazeta suspended publication on its website, social media and in print in response to strict new censorship laws introduced by the Kremlin.
"Missiles are flying over Kyiv right now. Now they are bombing our gas production , they are bombing our enterprises in Dnipro and Yuzhmash ," it quoted him as telling a conference. The deputy head of Ukraine's presidential office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, said there have been multiple explosions in the central city of Dnipro, where two infrastructure objects were damaged and at least one person was wounded.
Ukrainian media also reported blasts in Kyiv and the city of Dnipro - a strategically important city that connects the east and west of Ukraine. If he can take the city, then he could cut off Ukraine from the sea, which is why it is one of the main targets for the Russian offensive.Explosions are being reported in the northern Crimean town of Dzhankoi, according to the Belarusian news outlet Nexta.
"This is likely the largest number of strikes that Russia has conducted in a single day since the first week of the invasion," the report states.
