The UK's weather is to receive a boost this weekend when a short heatwave is set to take some places into the thirties.
Sunday is set to be the warmest day of the weekend - and the hottest day of 2021 so farA health warning has been issued as temperatures are forecast to soar as high as 31C over the next few days.
This weekend is likely to be the hottest of the year so far for most of the UK - and also bring the warmest day of 2021, said Met Office forecaster Aidan McGivern. However, southwest and northwest England will be cooler at around 21-22C , and northwest Scotland at about 17C . Sunday is expected to be a few degrees hotter nearly everywhere, with top UK temperatures of around 31C forecast around London and the West Midlands.
