It comes after one of the wettest Julys on record
Brits could be gearing up for a long summer after forecasters say we could be getting a 'hotter than average' September.
However, they warned they could not rule out the hottest weather of the year being over, despite the UK suffering one of the wettest July months on record followed by a mixed bag of sunshine and rain in August.Forecasters said that, as we approach hurricane season in the Atlantic, the weather can become increasingly “unpredictable” as tropical storms push drier and warmer conditions our way.
