British tourists need to be aware of the risks of relying on car sat-nav when driving abroad. The gadget is meant to make travelling easier as it maps out the quickest route to your destination.
Because of this, some countries, including France and Cyprus, have banned the use of any electronic system that can unintentionally warn motorists to slow down and could result in a £1,292.98 fine. Headlamp converters are widely available and can be added to adjust the alignment. Just remember to remove the converters as soon as you return to the UK. Driving in France without having these fitted carries a £77.57 on-the-spot fine.
