There are two amendments on the order paper today to the motion saying that Owen Paterson should be suspended from the Commons for 30 days, as recommended by the standards committee. You can read the both in full here . The main one has been tabled by Andrea Leadsom, the Conservative former leader of the Commons. It “notes concerns expressed about potential defects in the standards system and therefore declines to consider the [standards committee] report at this time”.
