, the Government is in talks with five other countries over plans similar to its Rwanda scheme, where asylum seekers would be flown to another country to claim asylum there.
The Rwanda plan has been stalled by legal challenges, but the Prime Minister’s official spokesman said the Government was confident it would win an upcoming Supreme Court battle on the policy. has seen hundreds of thousands of people from West Africa pass through its territory on their way to Libya.
