An air ambulance was scrambled to the scene as four people were left injured
Two people have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a major collision between a car and a motorbike in Wigan.
Police, fire crews, and paramedics cordoned off the road, which was closed in both directions from Wigan Road to Bryn Road South with screens and evidence tents erected amid investigations.It has now been confirmed that two people were rushed to Salford Royal Hospital from the scene with serious injuries while two others were taken to Wigan Infirmary with minor injuries. Further details about their condition are yet to be confirmed.
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At 1pm on Tuesday 5 September, firefighters were called out to a road traffic collision on Bolton Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield.
