Two men rescued from burning house after batteries spark fire
Two 25-year-old men are currently receiving treatment after they were rescued from a burning building in Harehills.
Toby May, Group Manager for Leeds District, said: “While investigations are still on going into the cause of the fire, we believe it may have been started by a lithium battery igniting. “When these batteries and chargers fail, they do so with ferocity and because the fires develop so rapidly the situation can quickly become incredibly serious.
