Dr Peter Coshan disappeared on August 11, 2022. His body was later discovered in Northumberland.
Paul Black, 63, also known as Joseph Hillary, and Paul McNaughton, 27, will appear in connection with the death of Dr Peter Coshan.
Dr Peter Coshan's disappearance sparked a major search last year when he went missing on August 11 in the Seafield Road area of Edinburgh. The body of the 75-year-old was later discovered on September 4 in Northumberland near the village of Kirkwhelpington, about 20 miles south of the Scotland-England border.A preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow will take place later today.
Both men were also charged with theft and attempting to defeat the ends of justice when they appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last year and made no plea. They were remanded into custody.
