A 46-year-old man died just yesterday while at the popular Hammerhead Shark Point off the coast of the atoll of Rasdhoo.The man was rushed to a local hospital but was sadly pronounced dead on arrival. A 65-year-old man then horrifically drowned this morning at around 10.30am in the waters off the coast of Rasdhoo.Officials in the Maldives issued a nationwide safety warning to holidaymakers in January after a spike in drownings.Strong currents caused by a northeast monsoon were blamed for the worrying number of drownings.
