What a wonderful visit! 🐦
Submitted by Barchester Home
Residents at a local care home had lots of fun stroking and petting some feathered creatures during a special visit last week. Both the staff and occupants at Barchester Leonard Lodge Care Home in Hutton were thrilled by the most recent visit from their two-legged friends at Performing Pets who brought the birds with them.On this occasion, they came with brightly coloured budgies and a beautiful Bourke's parakeet, all of which perched happily on residents' arms, and showed off their plumage to the delight of all.
The birds met with the residents in the comfort of their communal lounge before being taken on a tour around the home to meet residents who chose to stay in their rooms.
