Tributes have been flooding in for Glasgow-born actor David McCallum who shot to worldwide fame in the 1960s for his role in the hit spy series The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Tributes have been pouring in following the death of Glasgow-born actor David McCallum, best known for his portrayal of Illya Kuryakin in the 1960s spy series The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
"He and his youngest grandson, Whit, 9, could often be found in the corner of a room at family parties having deep philosophical conversations."He added: "He was fascinated by science and culture and would turn those passions into knowledge. For example, he was capable of conducting a symphony orchestra and could actually perform an autopsy, based on his decades-long studies for his role on NCIS.
