Police are probing the sudden death of Steven Wright, who died on the rig, around 115 miles north-east of Aberdeen

Tributes have been paid to a dad who collapsed and died while working on a Scottish oil platform. Steven Wright, known as Steve, is believed to have fallen unwell while working on board the CNOOC-operated Scott platform on Friday, August 4.

Colleagues at the Scott platform said Steve, from Newcastle, will be "greatly missed by all who knew him". "The individual’s family have been informed and we are supporting them through this difficult time. The news has understandably left co-workers shocked and saddened, and we are working to provide them with the support they need."
