The writer who worked on the likes of Judge Dredd and Batman dies at the age of 73.
Tributes have been paid to the comic book writer Alan Grant who has died at the age of 73.A tribute from 2000 ADBorn in Bristol, he grew up in Scotland and had lived in the village of Moniaive in Dumfries and Galloway for many years.
His career spanned more than 40 years and during that time he worked for 2000 AD, DC Comics, Marvel, Lego and independent publishers.
