Tributes are being paid to Tudor Thomas, an honorary president of Manchester City Football Club who has died aged 94.
Offering their condolences to his friends and family, the club paid tribute to a 'loyal supporter' of the club for more than 70 years and a prominent businessman based in Stockport. Mr Thomas was one of four honorary presidents at the club, together with former Manchester council chief executive Sir Howard Bernstein, ex-City captain Tony Brook and solicitor Raymond Donn.Mr Thomas, who had supported City since the end of the Second World War, established MT Kaill Plant Hire in Stockport and later bought MTK Breaker Hire and Sales. He also had family links to Stockport Hydraulics.
"Tudor was a loyal supporter of the club since just after the Second World War, attending matches with his wife Mary wherever we played.
