Trains still disrupted after 24-hour rail strike as union talks resume over pay and conditions ➡️ Talks will resume today between unions and Network Rail in a bid to secure a deal before the next train strike, planned for Saturday

Some train services started later on Thursday, with commuters waiting for stations to re-open after the 24-hour RMT walkout Commuters were hit by fresh disruption on Thursday morning as services faced knock-on delays following the 24-hour rail strike.

There was also disruption to some morning services on the TransPennine Express, with passengers advised to check before travelling. Mick Lynch, secretary general of the Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers union on the picket line at Euston station on 27 July
