Officers from Lancashire Constabulary were called to The Green shortly after 1pm
Emergency services were called to Ribbleton, Preston, scene shortly before 1pm. Eyewitnesses described a huge police presence in and around the woods close to The Green.
This afternoon , several police vehicles remained on The Green. An underwater search team was also seen on nearby Village Drive.
