An inquest into the death of Alexis Karran has been opened
The partner of a radiographer remains sectioned following her death as a result of 'blunt force trauma to the head', an inquest hearing has been told.
An inquest into her death was today opened at South Manchester Coroners' Court in Stockport. The hearing was told she was born in the Isle of Man and was a radiographer by occupation.Police coroners' officer Alison Catlow said Ms Karran lived on Winchester Road, Dukinfield, and was the 'life partner' of 48-year-old illustrator Daniel Mitchell.
"This is being investigated by GMP's Major Incident Team," Ms Mutch said. "And the matter continues to be investigated," she added. Ms Mutch formally opened the inquest before adjourning the matter to allow the police investigations to continue and for them to 'seek advice from the CPS'.
