A five-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following the incident yesterday in Back Camberley Street at about 4.55pm when the boy was hit by a black Nissan Note.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "He was taken to hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead a short time later.Footage from the scene showed a police cordon in place on Black Camberley Street. Officers from the Major Collision Enquiry Team are appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone with relevant dashcam footage or CCTV of the incident or the movements of the child or the black Nissan Note prior to or after the collision.
