Mike Hassini was ordered to serve six years and nine months after pleading guilty in 2021.
A former star of The Only Way is Essex who was jailed for drug offences has been released after two years of his almost seven-year sentence.
Hassini, who appeared on the ITVBe show from 2015 - 2018, was arrested after being seen by police handing a brown cardboard box containing the Class A drugs to Gary Bear, 23, who was sentenced to five years and three months. In 2021, Judge Richard Inyundo told Hassini and Bear as he sentenced them: "You are not the only two young men to find yourselves in difficulty due to the Covid pandemic.
Police found the cocaine in Bear's grey Mercedes and they found £36,495 in cash in a blue plastic bag in a black smart car that was being driven by Hassini. A further search of Hassini’s girlfriend’s parents’ home uncovered 300g of cocaine, a press and moulds, as well as more than £1,600 in cash, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.
