The midfielder was the subject of late-window interest from Premier League outfit Fulham last week but was not willing to join the Cottagers. Ange Postecoglou has preferred to use Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr in the midfield, while Rodrigo Bentancur is set to return from a long-term injury in the coming months.
