BREAKING: Tory MP Andrew Bridgen is set to be suspended from the Commons for breaching paid lobbying rules.

Andrew Bridgen was found to have broken the rules on several occasions in a damning report

The North West Leicestershire was found to have broken strict restrictions on the work MPs can carry out on behalf of companies and how it must be publicly declared. The report also reveals he made ‘wholly unsubstantiated and false allegations’ against the standards commissioner Kathryn Stone OBE and ‘attempted improperly to influence the House’s standards processes’.

He went on to say he didn’t believe the ‘gossip’ but sought assurances ‘that you are not about to be offered an honour or peerage and that the rumours are indeed malicious and baseless’.
