Tories furious at 'toxic' school concrete crisis and warn of voter anger at 'nothing working'

One senior Tory MP said the crumbling concrete crisis would be seen as another example of “broken Britain” that comes “against the backdrop of nothing working in our country”.

Another MP meanwhile warned that the Prime Minister had been “unable to get a grip” of the crisis “and connect to reassure people”. “The public will be really angry, parents have to work, this isn’t an inconvenience, it is incompetence and shows the machinery of Government is not working properly.”
