Netflix has teased details of the new Top Boy series coming in this month
Makers of the Netflix hit series Top Boy have revealed a new hint about what to expect when the final series lands on the streaming platform this month. Set in the fictional East London estate of Summerhouse, gritty drama Top Boy, created by Ronan Bennett, began life on Channel 4 before Netflix revived the show in 2019.
The PA news agency reports that the upcoming series will see the fragile truce between Dushane and Sully hold firm as forces within the business empire undermine new rules of co-operation. Replying to Netflix's trailer announcement, X user Ofalamin asked: "Are we going to see some characters from top boy: summerhouse?" For context, Top Boy: Summerhouse was the first two series of the franchise, which were originally on Channel 4, before Netflix brought back the programme on their platform as 'Top Boy'.
Top Boy earnt many high profile fans, with Canadian rapper Drake the most active in attempting to get the series back on screen. In 2017 it was announced that Netflix would revive the series, with both Walters and Robinson, as well as the original crew, reprising their roles and Drake and his team executively producing.
